AMS provide software for medical appointment bookings, laboratory partner integrations and participant result reporting. This software is being used by some of the leading medical screening and occupational health companies in Ireland.In my role as Software Program Director at AMS, I work directly with the AMS CEO to establish and implement business and product development strategies. I then manage the software development team and processes to allow us to deliver our goals.A key part of my role is to work with stakeholders both within AMS and our external partners to understand their requirements and opportunities, which informs our product development roadmap.

MyTown.ie launched in 2008, featuring detailed information about 170 towns in all 32 counties. The site already attracts in excess of 75,000 people per month.MyTown.ie captures internet users looking for local information by providing great depth of content about the towns it features. Information for each town includes business listings, news (from local newspapers), weather forecast (from The Weather Channel) and maps (from Google Maps). Many areas of mytown.ie are interactive, allowing users to post their own content, such as local events, business listings, classified ads, photos, and local chat comments.MYTOWN WEB LTD generates revenue through sales of business listings and banner advertising.

This involved recruitment, setting of quarterly team targets and performing regular reviews. • Recognized in Yahoo! as one of Yahoo!’s Top Talent. This is a program that recognizes Yahoo!’s top 3% of employees at all levels in order to train and accelerate career progression.• Reported directly to the European Market Engineering Manager in this role and attended European wide Yahoo! Engineering, Product and Sales meetings/conferences.• Developed the UK Travel Site while maintaining current technology, with a view to increasing advertising revenue and improving user experience• Attended meetings with many of the travel market leaders, such as BA, Virgin, Opodo, Ebookers, Lastminute, Air France and Avis.• Worked with many different teams in order to ensure project plans were followed and delivery dates were met. -Internship-This six month internship was a module of the Bsc. Computing Degree completed. Based in Dublin, the computer services board is responsible for the life cycle of new applications to be used by local authorities throughout Ireland.This involved discussions with relevant authorities the requirements of new projects; designing prototypes and reassessing requirements and following the project life cycle through to roll-out. Training and support was also provided once after the project was complete.Departments were split into teams of three which worked together as efficiently and effectively as possible reporting to the team leader as problems and milestones were met.Main project achieved was the design and implementation of a Visual Basic application which allowed local authorities to record and monitor historically protected structures in their area, using a method of recording the structure to a map.The main technologies/languages used in this role were Visual Basic, MapInfo (GIS) and Microsoft Access.
