Garry Jacobs is an American author, researcher and consultant on business management, economic and social development, education and global governance. He is President, Chief Executive Officer and former Chairman of the Board of the World Academy of Art & Science, a global think tank founded in 1960 and currently conducting a global campaign on Human Security for All in partnership with the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security. He is also Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of World University Consortium; Managing Editor of Cadmus Journal on economics, education, international security and global governance; President of The Mother’s Service Society (MSS), an educational and social science research institute in India; Trustee of Force for Good, a IL based foundation seeking innovative financial and technological strategies to achieve sustainable development; full member of the Club of Rome; and Professor of Trans-disciplinary Social Science, IACP (Person-centered Approach Institute), Italy. The central theme in Jacobs’ work is the social and psychological process of growth and development as it expresses at the level of the individual, organization, nation and global community, and the evolution of consciousness, universal values, social organization, integrated thinking and individuality as key drivers of the process.Jacobs is co-author of two books on business management: "The Vital Difference: Unleashing the Powers of Sustained Corporate Success", published in English and five foreign languages, based on studies of highly successful, multi-billion dollar companies; and "The Vital Corporation: How American Companies Large and Small Double Profits in Two Years or Less", based on the authors’ consulting work & research in over 30 fast-growing companies in North America, Europe & Asia. He is principal editor of Uncommon Opportunities: Agenda for Peace & Equitable Development, report of the International Commission on Peace & Food to the UN; and India Vision 2020: Report of the Indian Planning Commission. He also co-authored a report to the Government of India on strategies to create 100 million jobs, which was adopted as official policy. In addition Jacobs has published more than 100 published articles on a wide range of subjects -- business, economics, education, social development, governance, intl security. He is also author of a novel "The Book: The Spiritual Individual in Quest of the Living Organization: Codex for the Infinite Game".
