I am a partner in the audit and assurance division of the Canberra office of Nexia Australia (Nexia Duesburys). I am on the Nexia Australia Board, Nexia Australia & New Zealand Audit Committee and Nexia Australia & New Zealand Quality Assurance Committee.I am a Chartered Accountant, Registered Company Auditor and member of the Local Government Auditors Association of New South Wales.I commenced my career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1993 where I provided a broad range of services in the firm’s assurance, consulting and business services divisions. In 1999 I joined Nexia Duesburys, where I became a partner in 2005. My experience includes the provision of a wide range of external and internal audit services and reviews as well as financial statements preparation, accounting assistance, accounting advice and financial consulting. Since 1993 I have been providing audit services to not-for-profit organisations, government entities and public, private and listed companies. I have also performed risk and fraud assessments, due diligence assignments and investigations.I foster a team environment with my fellow team members to ensure the development of strong and supportive working relationships and to transfer skills amongst the team members. I am approachable, friendly and take a real interest in my clients. I am driven by the relationships that I form with my clients, which I believe is a necessary component of exceptional service delivery. I have worked across a breadth of industries and business sectors. I am able to quickly grasp issues that may be relevant to my clients and tailor my advice to particular circumstances. I take a hands-on approach to service delivery and develop a ‘trusted advisor’ relationship with my clients. I am interested in achieving results for my clients rather than simply enforcing compliance.
