About Garth Atkinson
Following 23 years Service in the Royal Navy I left in July 2013 in order to seek a new career direction. During my time in the RN I successfully completed a varied career that provided a broad range of transferable skills in leadership, management, training and operations, as well as military civilian liaison at a variety of levels. I have recently completed a short contract working for Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, as a Security Coordinator at the SECC/SSE Hydro venue, where I successfully delivered a variety of mangement and coordination responsibilities. I am now seeking fresh opportunities for a second career primarily based in the West Central Scotland / Glasgow area. I am a Fellow in the Institute of Leadership and Management and am PRINCE2, Lean 6 Sigma and IOSH - Managing Safely qualified.

Lead Staff Warfare Instructor responsible for co-ordinating the training outputs for higher level Warfare Training for the Royal Navy at the Maritime Warfare School, HMS COLLINGWOOD.
