Garth De Visser is an operational analysis and systems professional at BMT with over ten years’ experience in Defence, military operational concepts, data analysis, model-based systems engineering, capability development, requirements elicitation and academic research. Currently managing operational analysis, Garth is an integral member of the systems engineering team in the development of performance requirements and evaluation of capability. Previously, Garth assisted with the upfront conceptual design of large, complex Defence projects using systems thinking in a model-based environment. Garth seconded to private industry from the Defence Science and Technology Group's systems integration team, where he studied domestic and international best practices to provide advice on systems engineering and complex project management. Previously, Garth served as a Weapons Electrical Engineering Officer in the Royal Australian Navy, and completed his Masters of Defence Operations Research while in Government, and has an undergraduate Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
