A long career journey from programmer to programmer/analyst to systems analyst to systems architect, including a spell as a technology evangelist, and most recently being a start-up advisor/participant, author and commentator.Involved in transactional middleware from the early days, starting with the original Service Oriented Architectures, i.e. TP Monitors (Tuxedo, CICS), and continuing through J2EE (WebSphere, WebLogic) to web application technologies. Current interests are the how the role of commercial programmers has developed over the years and where technology is going and what it means for the human race. Oh boy!
