As the Managing Director of SocialEssence, a consultancy that I founded in 2019, I provide high-quality socio-economic performance services to clients in various sectors and regions. I have 15 years of experience in managing complex social issues, such as resettlement, land acquisition, stakeholder engagement, community development, conflict resolution, and strategic communications.My mission is to help clients achieve their goals while minimizing social risks and maximizing positive impacts for the affected communities and the environment. I have successfully managed a large-scale resettlement project for a greenfield mine and town development in Zambia, involving over 600 households, 2000 farmers, and 3000 graves. I have also planned and implemented development programs in health, education, agriculture, wildlife conservation, and infrastructure, in collaboration with NGOs and government partners. I have demonstrated skills in building and maintaining strategic relationships with diverse and influential stakeholders, from radical NGOs and hostile traditional leaders to government ministers, academics, diplomats, and CEOs. I have a strong track record of enhancing local content and gender balance in hiring and procurement, as well as designing and using IT systems and GIS tools to support data-driven decision making and reporting. I lead a team of over 500 staff and manage an annual budget of ~USD 11 million.
