Freelance Graphic Designer through Smerk Design as well as full time Graphic Designer at GrainFox. I am an Honours graduate of the Red River College Graphic Communications program, and I also hold a B.A. and B.Ed from the University of Winnipeg.Over 15 years as a freelancer and 4 years as a full time agency employee I have gained knowledge in just about every aspect of design and marketing, working with tiny clients to huge ones. On the agency side, I worked for 6P Marketing for 4 years, serving a wide breadth of clients from various sectors. I’ve helped conceive and have fully executed large campaigns for clients such as G3, Manitoba Pork, St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, and Genstar. I have led the branding for Crosier Kilgour, Legacy Bowes, Lake Manitoba Resort, Rainscreen Association of North America, Agrihub, and more. The “Impressive Numbers” campaign for G3 Canada, of which I helped conceive and also fully executed has been nominated for 4 awards each from The Canadian Agri-food Marketer’s Alliance (CAMA) as well as the Advertising Association of Winnipeg's Signature Awards, winning one from each. A different campaign that I led for G3 was a finalist for 2 CAMA Awards and 2 Signature Awards, getting a Runner Up nod for Best Microsite at the latter.A campaign I led for Ubisoft Winnipeg was a finalist for 3 Signature Awards and won for Best Digital Ad (Static).I initially honed my skills while working as the marketing manager for Canadian sketch comedy troupe Hot Thespian Action, of which I am a member. I was responsible for all aspects of our branding and promotion; including logos, business cards, buttons, T-shirts, posters, the design, creation, and maintenance of our large website, as well as our extensive social media promotion. I have worked with several large Winnipeg companies and organizations over the years. For 5 years I executed all graphic design needs for Salisbury House restaurants, a popular Manitoba chain, taking care of several weekly ads, menu design, in-store promotions, social media posts, website updates and much more.I have provided consistent branding, promotional materials, and website design, build, and maintenance for organizations like PARIM (Professional Association of Residents and Interns of Manitoba), South Manitoba Orthodontics and ACTRA Manitoba. I have also worked with a series of smaller community organizations and non-profits, such as The Lord Selkirk Association, The Royal Canadian College of Organists, and Manitoba Council for International Cooperation.
