Evolve Capital (Pty) Ltd invests in start up, small and medium sized companies through a combination of equity, debt, intellectual and strategic capital. Our primary intention is to partner entrepreneurs with a long term view, to help build and grow sustainable, ethical businesses that create jobs and extend across generations. I have over 15 years of private equity experience as part of the Old Mutual Private Equity team. Over the last 15 years I have been involved in numerous transactions in various industries and have served on the boards and sub-committees of a number of private companies including Life Healthcare, Metro Cash & Carry, Air Liquid, Tourvest and Libstar. My partner and brother Ian Solomon brings 15 years of entrepreneurial experience in running and growing businesses and is currently the co-owner of Mojo Media, the owner of the Portfolio Collection among other publications. We are both qualified chartered accountants, have a passion for entrepreneurship and see small business as a crucial cog in the future of South Africa's economy. We also have extensive experience in coaching and supporting small businesses owners. Evolve Capital are shareholders in the following businesses, Oryx Desert Salt, Zang Chocolate, Indigenus and Fairways Hospitality Services, managers of Fairways on the Bay guest house and Place on the Bay Hotel in Camps Bay.
