Department working directly with both internal and external suppliers to our 70+ headlight and tail side assembly lines. I also work closely with Assembly to investigate root causes and implement countermeasures to eliminate problems. The job includes constantly working to prevent future problems and horizontally applying any countermeasures to like processes. I am very used to working in a constantly changing, hectic environment while working with several different departments to make sure production makes quality parts and meets production demands. I have also spent many years working directly with our customer's quality department working on root cause and countermeasure activity to solve quality problems.   ▶Short Shot Housing Project: Led team of engineers across initiative which implemented countermeasures to detect such parts prior to shipment. Included updating all existing first piece approval documents, identifying where typical short shot location occurred on all molded housings and lenses.▶Missing Lock Washer on Adjust Bolt Project: In accordance with Honda expectation of receiving zero “A” rank trouble reports from suppliers – at time when Stanley was sending up to two such failures annually – headed team to find countermeasure to problem and implement foolproofs. As result of implementation efforts in March, 2015, zero lamps with specific defect have been submitted to Honda since that time.▶Headlight Projects: Headed Honda Accord, Civic, Element, Odyssey, Acura MDX and TL lamp project model changes every two to four years as Team Lead. Collaborated with Honda, final assembly and both internal and external suppliers to ensure that production of lamps by assembly lines met functional and visual client specifications. Contributions entailed partnering with Honda to address quality issues and product changes, cooperating with departments and suppliers to ensure assembly manufactures quality products in alignment with production requirements, and leading internal meetings to investigate solutions to key challenges.
