Meeting directly with customers is one of my favorite aspects of my role as Senior Vice President and Chief Distribution Officer of North American Life. I always leave those business and customer conversations inspired by the vital work that they do to help families and businesses prepare for the future. Beyond managing distribution and sales of life insurance products, I also participate in various working groups focusing on product development, interest rate setting and general management of the company. My management philosophy is simple: Lead by example—and don’t ask anyone to do something that I wouldn’t do myself. I love to set the vision and then solve the problems that stand in the way of reaching it. I achieve these objectives by:• building strong relationships with teams and customers• providing the resources my teams need to meet big goals• making sure we live in a corporate culture that holds people responsible for their actions Away from the office, you will likely find me on a golf course. I seriously love the camaraderie—everyone is a friend out on the links—as well as the competition. I’m always pushing myself to focus and play the game better than the last time.
