Co-wrote the handbook to accompany ISO 21101: Adventure Tourism - Safety Management Systems. Worked on the pilot phase of the scheme, which involved road testing an assessment tool and set of health and safety standards. Assessed some of New Zealand's largest and most significant employers across several sectors. Started with around 30 organisations involved in the OutdoorsMark audit programme and increased it to over 400 organisations.Developed and implemented auditing and certification systems aligned to AS/NZS 4801. Certifier of OutdoorsMark audits.Heavily involved in Review into Risk Management in the Adventure Tourism and Outdoor Commercial Sector in NZ, 2009-2010, and the subsequent regulations.Lead writer of Safety Audit Standard for Adventure Activities, March 2013.Lead writer/contributor to the new international adventure tourism safety standards ISO 21101, ISO 21103 and ISO/TR 21102. Head of NZ delegation to ISO Technical Committee 228 - Tourism. Member of NZ International Reference Group.
