As the sole HR representative in the EMEA region, reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, this role provides operational HR Management in all key areas of HR across 23 countries. Driving innovation and engagement in the region, supporting and implementing ways to improve both employee and the organisation’s performance. My duties included all aspects of a generalist HR role including recruitment, compensation and benefits, discipline and grievance issues and restructuring.

Supporting and coaching managers on HR policies, practices. Resolving grievance/disciplinary matters, keeping appropriate records.Representing the company at Industrial Tribunals, preparation of witnesses, bundles of documents etc.Advising managers on Conciliations, Mediations and Arbitrations at Industrial Tribunals.Advising managers on Employee Relations issues and the impacts on the organisation’s performance and culture.Negotiations with trade unions, works councils and/or, employee forums on labour issues.Development of HR policies and practices e.g. collective and individual dispute resolution, tribunals, grievance and disciplinary matters, employment law, contracts of employment.Managing and facilitating potential conflict situations. This was a multicultural youth development programme (Responsible Action and Leadership Initiative) that ran nationwide. Teenagers were recruited from diverse backgrounds and they participated in an 8 month programme which promoted cross-cultural contact, leadership development, community service and career orientation.
