My experience has confirmed to me that careful preparation leads to confident implementation and eventually the achievement of a program’s goals. I have participated in projects as diverse as building large metal buildings, guiding canoe trips in the Yukon and running a career or credit counselling program; each type of employment is different but the recipes for success are similar in each of my experiences. Working with good people and treating them well, paying attention to the details and knowing which details are significant, are key skills that helped me build a sales route in Saskatchewan and a Career Counselling practice in Alberta. Relationship building was key on the Big Salmon River near Whitehorse as my clients spoke German and I did not, and the same strength applies to working with colleagues, clients or customers. Successful programs I have participated in: • Building a career counselling service in five rural high schools • Managing Taber’s first Career Center with a customer evaluations ranking of "excellent" • Junior partner in an Automotive Warehouse and developing my sales route • Facilitating very popular workshops for Teamworks in Lethbridge • Safely guiding clients on remote wilderness rivers in the Yukon I presently reside in Taber, Alberta.
