Sage Net operates a new 30,000 square foot National Logistics Center (NLC). Located adjacent to our Tulsa headquarters, the NLC features a state-of-the-art configuration, cabling, test and repair facility, a digital signage lab, administrative offices, an inventory management and storage area, and more than 16,000 square feet of warehouse space. The NLC is also the central point for processing RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorization). Streamlining the RMA process reduces the distraction and delay caused by defective equipment and allows us to focus on keeping customer networks running smoothly and securely. Quickly determining whether equipment is in need of repair or replacement, and moving the products smoothly through the system is an exercise in logistics in itself. It is a reflection on our organization’s efficiency, attention to detail and focus on quality.

Simmons Metal Containers manufactures three piece cans for the national wet pet food and foods industries. I supervise four state-of-the-art production lines, both equipment and personnel to provide quality cans per customer specifications, while safely maintaining a timely production schedule to meet customers on time delivery. Production Shift Manager Position on second shift also included the supervision of all production activities including: can line production, quality assurances, press department (can end production), shipping and receiving, stores room equipment parts inventory.

Ameristar Fence is the largest ornamental fence manufacturer in the world. From raw materials through finished product they manufacture an extensive line of residential, commercial, industrial and high security fencing. As Facilities Supervisor I was responsible for facilities maintenance, transportation fleet, grounds maintenance, janitorial services and waste water management.

Implemented computer maintenance management system (CMMS), assimilated asset data, reviewed revised and developed preventive maintenance procedures. Established PM schedule utilizing both time based and metering methods. Built an inventory system with data relating to equipment sets and were used within facilities. Established jeopardy criticality level for parts and set minimum maximum reorder levels on inventory. Used existing safety lockout procedure or revised procedures, also wrote new procedures to insure safe environment to perform PM Maintenance. Designated a controlled area for tools within stores room used to perform PM Maintenance.

As an industrial technician I performed electrical installations, ran electrical conduit both EMT, rigged and pulled cable, as well as terminated connections to instruments, controls and communications systems. Eastech Flow Controls purchased the flow product lines from Badger Meter and started operations in 2001. As Production Manager my responsibility was more of an operations management role. I was responsible for moving the inventory from one plate to the other, establishing parts stockroom, inventory and control. I also established warehouse inventory and set up a shipping and receiving department making the necessary contacts. Additionally my responsibility included: Production Planner (MRP) Made2Manage, Facilities Management and Safety management.

Immediately after taking the position of Production Manager Badger Meter announced they were going to pursue Implementation ISO 9001 Quality Program: Working with the IT department we developed a software program that tracked all components that made up a Flow Metering system recording serial numbers and manufacture revision level. Placed safeguards in place that insured that only the appropriate firmware could be programmed in the EPROMS used to control the circuit boards that make the functions of the flow meters operate. ESD team established ESD (Electro Static Discharge) program that protects circuit boards during the assembly and test process. The ESD Program reduced latency failures in circuit boards resulting in significant reductions in warranty cost. Simplified a difficult test situation regarding the sensors (part of the flow meter system) that we built. By designing two test fixtures, we eliminated the need for 80% of the existing fixtures that were showing signs that they may need repair. To gain more integrity for the testing of the sensors, automated test methods were developed. Utilizing these measures gave us a greater confidence with an increased throughput. We reduced the failure rates of automated testing of circuit boards by bringing Engineering and Test Engineers to the same table to discuss reasons for failure and feasible resolutions, resulting in significant improvements for the product and the company’s bottom line.

As a Senior Engineering Technician I operated a certified NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) traceable flow laboratory. The laboratory utilized an AMSE standard of static weight measurement method to calculate actual flow rates. The laboratory had a reservoir under the floor holding 25,000 gallons of water; the adjacent pump room held four pumps that could deliver flow rate to 6,000 GPM the water was collected in a central header that had six selectable line sizes ranging from 4” to 14” pipe line sizes and a open flow channel to accommodate the meter under test. The laboratory was built primarily to calibrate Badgers ultrasonic flow meters, and develop new products. I performed many functions within this position: Quality Assurance (facility instrument calibration), Production (Flow meters & flow tubes calibrations), Research and Development (ultrasonic, flow tubes, open channel flumes) and performed outside calibration services.
