In today's market, having professional representation on a transaction which is the most material transaction of a veterinarian's lifetime is especially necessary. We also put groups of veterinarians together and take multiple practices to market at the same time, as (while not required) the sale of a group of practices will generally provide better pricing and more seller friendly terms. This market is highly specialized and knowledge of the market and companies is essential for the best customized transaction.I also specialize in tax efficient business exit strategies integrated with personal planning. This includes tax efficient planning of business or asset sales, to implementing with an advisory team strategic business and/or real estate sale, tax, legal and investment plans. The techniques utilized include 1031 tax deferred exchanges, custom Installment Sales, 721 exchange contributions/mergers (Private Equity roll-ups/contributions, UpREITs), business/real estate Joint Ventures, 1035 exchanges, asset sale/leasebacks, and tax efficient investments customized to the individual and transaction needs. I have assisted in over 200 business sale and commercial real estate exchange transactions totaling over $1.5 billion, facilitating sales for multiple types of entities including individuals, sole proprietorships, partnerships, corporations, limited liability companies and trusts. I routinely partner with clients and their advisers to help structure transactions and investments that realize the client's goals and investment objectives in the most tax efficient manner.
