Implemented a remote Fuel monitoring system that allowed two of the Ackerman Oil customers to maintain inventories, priced their products, and invoice their customers.Improved the process flow for month end inventories for Ackerman Oil decreasing the time to take, input, and adjust inventory levels from one week to two days.Implemented a new AR/GL system for two of the Ackerman Oil divisions. This is an ongoing project, which will put all five of the Ackerman Oil business (transportation, propane, lubes, Circle A convenience stores, and the holding company) all on the same software.Monitored on a daily basis all Ackerman Oil customer invoicing, supplier web sites (Shell and Petro Canada) for customer orders and make ensuring all orders are processed correctly.Installed a new software package, which allows the propane side of the business to function correctly in the selling and repackaging of Ackerman Oil propane products. The system uses bar codes on the tanks to track where the tank is located.Implemented a new software system, for Ackerman Oil customers to utilize an embedded chip card to buy fuels from all Ackerman Oil locations.Support on a daily basis 10 store locations, one main office location, Windows servers, one Unix box and PC workstations (desktops and laptops).

Project lead for start up of a new market/grill specializing in natural beef, pork, chicken, and produce products (no growth hormones). Responsibilities included upgrading the site to meet safety codes, identifying and purchasing equipment needs, oversight of equipment installation and ensuring deadlines were met for opening market date of November 1st, 2009.Installed the computer/security systems needed to run a food market and grill. The software that runs the market/grill is from Micros. The software arrived on Tuesday and we were open on the market side on Wednesday. Efforts made ahead of time by preloading the software and analyzing the markets needs ensured the successful opening day.In a period of six months we were able to open the market side of business where we sell the natural meat products and bring up the grill side that includes a drive thru selling a large selection of sandwiches, soups, and ala cart products.Business grown from one employee (me) to a total of 30 employees over a three month time frame.Responsible for ensuring inventory needs were met, employees management and oversight, operating the opening breakfast/lunch shift, as well as being on call 24 by 7 for all software/management issues.

Responsibilities included auditing invoices for accuracy, services being provided for appropriateness, and ensuring pricing was accurate. Savings for 2008 were approaching $650,000 dollars. Vendors dealt with were AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Perry-Spencer, and other local telecommunications companies.Responsible for all IT vendor contracts. This involved negotiating contracts with approved vendors and obtaining best pricing for the requested services. Savings in this area for 2008 were approaching $250,000 dollars. Vendors dealt with in this area would include Kronos, IPrint, SIS, and Keller-Schroder.Responsible for the MBCI central computer room. Developed and installed a new generator, a powered flywheel, two UPS, two twenty-ton air conditioner units, and a new fire suppression system.Developed the use of a McDonald’s model to standardize company wide and in all remote locations the same hardware and software systems to ensure technical support could be provided by anyone at any location at any time.Implemented Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) audit controls to ensure MBCI compliance with all SOX requirements for publicly held companies.Supported the MBCI Operations and Helpdesk department by taking overflow calls to support the MBCI customer base. President of the Corporate Office Safety committee. Responsibilities included developing and implementing policies and procedures in conjunction with Safety and Risk Management Staff to ensure appropriate employee responses to weather, fire and evacuation if necessary.Senior Manager of Networks and SecurityResponsible for directing the implementation of a secure network that would support a 2.5 billion dollar company with locations in Canada and Mexico.
