I’m primarily responsible for a user base of approximately 2800 I.T. Consumers throughout the UK & Ireland as well as collaborating with my colleagues at a global level. While my role is predominantly hardware/software desktop/server support it can also be extremely diverse. We have many servers and standalone systems which require installation and support while remaining aware of their idiosyncrasies.I’ve been a key member within many project teams aimed at modernising and transforming the services we deliver to our I.T. Consumers. My experience within project teams varies from being a team member to the departmental lead reporting directly to the project manager. As a project lead I drive the required change through the business and maintain a high performing team to ensure deadlines are met.I also deputise for the I.T. Support Services Manager UK & IE. This involves leading the team in his absence and ensuring we maintain our high level of service to the business. I assist my team members with any problems or concerns they raise while encouraging them to take the required steps towards resolution themselves.Other areas of my responsibility require me to ensure that company policies, procedures and processes are kept up to date and incorporate the most recent guidelines and software versions. All processes must be accompanied by relevant RACI charts so they can be interpreted correctly.

During my time at Newcastle University I worked within the Business School. I was responsible for ensuring that all of the equipment within the Business School was in full working order. Other duties included the procurement of new hardware and software required for teaching and maintaining the Active Directory and Group Policy Objects relevant to the Business School.

In my temporary role with the Department for Work and Pensions I was primarily responsible for the roll-out of the new government Early Office Infrastructure while reporting to my Executive Officer. This included taking an inventory of all current equipment and drafting up the requirements for new equipment. Once the new equipment arrived it was my duty to assist with the installation and also provide users with adequate on the job training. As the project progressed I took the lead in the rollout at several offices around north east England.

As a Distribution Analyst I was primarily responsible for the final compiliation of the various programming teams code which would result in the current version of the company's product.Other day to day tasks included distribution of the software and fixes software modifications and fixes.This was largely a customer facing position.
