About Gary Andersen
My current work is in two programs at FHSU. I coordinate and teach in the Transition to Teaching Program, the largest alternative licensure program in Kansas. I also teach in the Educational Leadership program. My expertise is in Curriculum and Instruction. My 40+ years of experience in education spans work in K-12 schools, administration, undergraduate science education, teacher education and and graduate school. I have worked in the areas of biology, educational technology, curriculum development and teacher education. My passions include fostering cultures of thinking and transforming the cultures of schools, environmental education and transformation of our society by promoting connections with nature among students and educators. In my spare time I enjoy writing and photography. Some of my recent professional work is represented by the web links below.
