Focusing on building automated operational processes and streamlining existing manual processes

In addition to my existing unit trust operations team,-Leading a team in equities operations such as contract creation, amendment, IPO of new listed products and also contra-Leading another team in OTC and UT operations involving the execution of several UT, bonds and structured products corporate actions

- Undertaking projects and business support initiatives which specialise in streamlining of processes and re-engineering of operations within and across departments - Working closely with major business partners such as Endowus and Havenport to support their daily business operations such as trades processing, NAV confirmation and onboarding of new unit trust- Liaising with CPF board, Agent Banks, fund houses and distributors on settlement and reconciliation of trades- Leading the team through daily operations such as trade processing, NAV confirmation and handling of unit trust transfers- Guiding the team to work closely with fund houses on account opening, fund onboarding and periodic review including AML / KYC documentation, Due Diligence questionnaire, FATCA and CRS reporting- Playing an important support role in handling queries from and providing sales support to trading representatives (remisier and FAs), client services team and e-business team

Unit Trust Operations- Assisting my head of department to oversee the entire department - Handling AML and transaction monitoring aspect for the entire operations in the company- Assuming the Complaint Handling Rep role for the department to handle, investigate and resolve all complaints pertaining to the department- Liaising with external counter parties with regards to transferring of assets, annual AML, due diligence and CRS review as well as onboarding of mutual funds on Phillip platform- Training and grooming my team members in the department to be proficient and productive in daily operational tasks- Delegating projects and tasks to team members and providing the necessary guidance while overseeing the progress- Working closely with global colleagues from Hong Kong and Malaysia on major global projects- Collaborating with colleagues from other departments/teams to streamline and improve processes- Embarking on local projects while moving towards automation and digitalization- Taking on new initiatives to offer better products and services for clients and financial advisors- Engaging team members on a one to one feedback session to understand their aspirations as well as their pain points in order to plan for their future roadmap in the department- Handling and organising turnovers and reshuffling within departmentRecreation Club- Review budget and prepare proposal for the entire calendar year’s events and activities for director’s approval- Oversee the entire community to ensure proper delegation of work as well as execution of events- Organise exciting events such as bowling, laser tag and more for the company’s staff- Liaise with the company’s preferred charity organisations to organise charity events for staff to help out - Engage and encourage staff to participate in events as well as to hear their valuable feedback- Hold monthly meetings to discuss and review each events and discuss issues raised by the members

-Serving as a crucial link between Unit Trust operations and B2B department as well as Unit Trust Marketing-Headed and completed in several business enhancement and improvement projects such as RSP Switch and mass funds in boarding -Liaising with several fund managers such as Allianz, Natixis and Lionglobal in the setting up of new funds and the on boarding of new fund managers such as Neuberger Berman, BlackRock and Maybank onto Phillip Securities platform-Liaising and executing external transfers between Phillip Securities and other distributors such as IFAST, Navigator and several banks-Assisting in providing reports and statistics for front office and management on a regular and ad hoc basis-Performing accurate and timely trade execution, confirmation and reconciliation

-Being part of the team and assisting in the annual impairment exercise to perform research and in depth analysis on companies to attain the best estimate of different companies valuation-Assisting in validating the accuracy and completeness of the company's year end financial statements and reports
