At Avid I manage large international Projects involving all Avid products. This might be delivering Video NLEs , Ingest tools, playout stations, a Newsroom computer system or Journalist editing tools . It usually involves large shared storage systems and Asset Management Systems right up to Media Archiving and Media asset management for complex transmission playout workflows. I work with the customer or reseller directly from proposal stage right through to final acceptance and project completion.

Managing a small team of operators,editors,engineers to produce Central News South from Abingdon Studios. As well as keeping the operation on track I was involved with technical projects within Central in Birmigham and Nottingham. During 2004 I was part of the Meridian project team that worked on Whitely and Maidestone studios for ITV. This involved installing Avid editing systems and managing the transition from tape editing to journalist non linear editing at the desktop.

Trained as a Technical assistant doing the ABC course .News Operations in the spur TVC and BH , Supervisor VT Maintenance and finally News Projects Engineer
