Drafted, reviewed, and released hundreds of naval messages which directly represented the voice of the Commanding Officer. Supervised a team of highly trained technicians whose job it was to operate and maintain millions of dollars worth of complex submarine communications equipment.

The sole officer designated to work hand-in-hand with the ship's Engineer to supervise and maintain the complex chemistry and radiation safety associated with a naval nuclear propulsion plant. The CRA is responsible for leading a highly trained team of engineering laboratory technicians on board a nuclear-powered submarine. Works with the ship's Medical Department Representative to monitor the crew's radiation exposure and ensure that all exposure remains as low as is reasonably achievable.
