I am a qualified MHFA instructor with over 4 years experience as an MHFAider.Whilst new to the instructor role I have many decades of experience with Mental Health, as an MHFAider, as a partner to someone with multiple complex diagnosis and through my own struggles with Anxiety and depression.My experience has enabled me to help many in need of support over the years, it is now a real privilege and joy to be able to train others to be Mental Health First Aiders, enabling them to be able to better help themselves, their colleagues and loved ones.I have a general interest in mental health and the impact it has on our lives and a real passion for enabling others to be able to improve theirs and those around them.My interest and passion comes from personal experience, both of my own mental ill health and of those I love and care for, like our physical health our mental health can vary from good to poor, it is really important that we recognise this in both ourselves and others around us if we are to live long, happy and productive lives.Do I have qualifications? yes, both in formal education and life experience, whilst formal education is important, we should not undervalue the experience, both are of equal importance when it comes to implementation in the world around us.
