I have been designing all sorts of games since elementary school. I make board games, card games and video games whenever I have the opportunity. I love all types of gaming, from computer games to strategic board games to roleplaying. I enjoy helping newcomers learn the rules of a game and have done so on many occasions. Whether it is a new favorite game that I want family to experience or making new friends at a gaming convention, I want people to enjoy playing.I have a keen eye for finding exploits and flaws within games and will come up with fixes to make games more fun. I started running games for my friends and family early in my life. I judge with a gaming group called NASCRAG, which has run role-playing tournaments at Gen Con for many years. I would solve many of the puzzles much quicker than the other players. This initially resulted in authors making the puzzles much harder than they should have been. I also helped edit the modules, making sure the statistics matched the gaming system. I continued breaking games while in college, playing in Dead City Productions at Northwestern University, where my character skills and traits would be banned the following year because of the exploits in the rules that I discovered. I now focus most of my time on video game design, but I will give good feedback on games that I playtest as well.I am looking forward to finishing my Masters this spring and pursuing my passion in the video game industry.
