As a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager, I lead a team of experienced professionals who provide specialised support throughout all the services of Derbyshire County Council and our customers. I draw on my 25+ years of professional experience in various organisations and sectors to ensure high standards of health, safety and wellbeing across the Authority.I am enthusiastic, passionate health and safety specialist dedicated to delivering high-quality services to the Authority, our customers and private consultancy clients. I help them to establish and maintain a positive health and safety culture by conducting audits, providing advice, developing strategies, implementing policies, procedures and guidance, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice, informing senior management of any relevant issues and in recent years leading Derbyshire schools through the COVID-19 pandemic.Moreover, I promote health, safety, wellbeing and safeguarding awareness through designing and delivering effective and engaging training and presentations to various audiences, including conference workshops. I use contemporary methods and humour to make the sessions informative and enjoyable.
