While working in a production environment that specialized in recycling demolition, construction and wood waste, handling 110,000+ tons annually I was 1st in line to maintenance, customization and troubleshooting of new and old equipment. I worked with Production stuff to create and maintain a safe and productive environment, with the last 4 years being on the Safety Committee, First Aid and Fire response teams. Set-up and operated acetylene or electric arc welding equipment to heat and shape metals; lays out. (cut and fitted materials for welds) Weld metal parts/components together using brazing, gas, mig, dual shield, or arc welding equipment. Sharpened and tempered tools. Clean or degrease parts, using wire brush, 4” grinder, or chemical bath. Safely operate forklift, bobcat, loader & excavators. Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead position then inspected finished work to specifications. Review layouts, diagrams or work orders in preparation for welding or cutting metal components. Performed other related duties as required.
