Responsible for twelve physical HP-DL360P Gen9 Hyper-V hosts, 53 Hyper-V VMs, two Synology RS2416nSANs, two HP MSA2040 SANs, two ASA5500s, and the Cisco network infrastructure of the US side of the company. Activities and skills required:• Maintain and troubleshoot backups of all production machines using Acronis Enterprise 11.5.• Key person to ensure NIST 800-171 compliance by end of calendar year 2017.• Create and provision Windows Server 2012R2 virtual machines in our Hyper-V environment. This includes setting up DNS, Active Directory, File Services, Print Services, Application Services, WSUS and IIS.• Create and configure two Cent-OS virtual machines for use by our developer.• Troubleshoot DNS and network issues.• Setup up a new corporate domain to begin process of streamlining functions between the US and Canada sides of the company. • Monitor Microsoft’s event viewer and performance monitors to ensure server integrity.• Fix any faults that would arise in either the hardware or software of servers. • Microsoft Security patching of the servers.• Update and fix any issues with our four SANs.• Monitor our ASA5500 for any issues and take corrective action as needed.• Resolve tickets our helpdesk could not figure out.• Troubleshoot and then fix reports generated from Reports Now.• Basic troubleshooting of JD Edwards ERP issues. If unable to resolve the issue, work with a third party to get the problem fixed. • Work with my Canadian counterpart to setup a company-wide Skype for Business 2015 system to ease communication barriers between the two halves of the company.• Investigate and solve any issue regarding our on premise Exchange 2013 server.• Install, configure and use PRTG for monitoring of environment.• Install Goverlan software for secure access to our servers and run scripted tasks.• Use PowerShell as needed to accomplish any of the above tasks.
