Experienced Lecturer with a demonstrated history of working with very diverse populations in interdisciplinary higher education. Skilled in Community Engagement, Social Media, Research, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Public Art, Environmental Art, with a strong focus on the socially engaged arts and their ability to create meaningful social transformation. Strong education professional with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) focused in Painting, drawing, sculpture and public art from the University of Washington. My artistic practice and my teaching utilize the arts as a tool for research and exploration, for building community and to increase cross-disciplinary opportunities across a wide range of disciplines. With a life long engagement volunteering with homeless communities, HIV/AIDS communities and with the incarcerated I believe that the arts are our best tool for exploring difficult issues, healing communities and fostering empathy.
