Arrange individual on-site and mobile car repairs, audit the repair invoices for accuracy & potential cost savings, and manage the bid process with the major rail shops to obtain preferred pricing. Manage the disposition & diversions to and from repair facilities as needed to minimize empty freight charges on cars needing to go to a repair or cleaning facility. Provide wreck management services, extended service projects, car retirements, tank linings, re-stenciling, wheel and hopper gate replacements and OT-5 registration. Maintain car owner information in UMLER, and TCID data base in compliance with AAR, DOT & FRA regulatory requirements. Submit OTMA documentation as required by the FRA for non-compliant equipment. Manage client vendor payment process & receivables for lease, repair, and scrapping invoices creating a variety of financial reports & insuring client recovers any expenses that were billed and paid in error through outside sources. Financial savings for one client was close to $500,000.00 last year & also recovered $38,000.00 in repair credits that were owed the customer. 49 CFR certified.
