Gary Chavez grew up in the Historic downtown Barrio and county boondocks of Santa Fe, NM. He traveled from Santa Fe to the family’s cattle ranch, where he learned the cowboy life from his grandfather. The immense amount of artistic perspectives that fills Santa Fe, coupled with his mothers unique jewelry designs and creations spurred an inner artist in Gary. This took some time to develop and emerge from his life’s pathway through agriculture, cannabis, microalgae cultivation, sustainability, and anything to do with out of the box creations. With sobriety from alcohol in 2020 twisted in the mix, the drawings created a unique remedy for him to heal. As a young father of two he has continued to pursue a life for his children that will help lead them to health & happiness. His life’s journey has brought him to creating drawings primarily comprised of straight line segments he calls Fractalized Artwork.
