Senior EstimatorIt is my responsibility to organise workload for projects prior to them being estimated. I identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. With this information I compute costs by analyzing labour, material, and time requirements. Finally I present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.I stay in contact with the Main Contractors/Clients following up on quotations. I attend pre-let meetings on behalf of the company.I oversee the junior estimator and checks all workings to comply with the company budgets set out in management meetings.Contracts ManagerI ensuring the company’s business strategy is adhered to. It is my responsibility to stay on to of final accounts, cost management and keeping of records, ensuring we work in line with the company's environment policy. I purchase all necessary materials and plant whilst adhering to budget including management of design, drawings, fabrication, finishes, transportation & installation.I formulate RAMS and all other health & safety documentation. I ensure that contracts are completed on time, within budget and to the correct specification whilst liaising with clients, suppliers, engineers & architects.I formulate inspection/test plans, NCR documents, O & M manuals, handover documents and site reports I under taking site audits / inspections and keeping of records

Responsibilities including estimating, sales, quantity surveying and contracts managing. Liasing with all members of the company. Working on orders from £500 upto £150k. Steel frame work, some stainless steel, balustrading, handrailing.

In my current role I am responsible for reviewing tenders to assess as to whether we want to be pricing them. I am then responsible for the take off, running them through Fabtrol estimating system or Excel, dependant on which I feel suits the project best. I then work through the final price, type the quotation and sent.It is then my responsibility to convert these into orders. I chase the projects, follow up potential leads, attend meetings in order to secure contracts.I also have had some experience with QS work. Being a small company we do not have a QS so I have to take on some of this however, only I only have a very basic knowledge of this.
