I am an experienced Design Manager with over 28 years experience in the construction industry. My skils include the co-ordination and control of design, procurement and construction phases of projects to ensure they are completed in accordance with the client’s requirements. To be the key point of contact for the client and represent my employer in all dealings including the delivery of the design and construction works.I can add value to projects through my ability to identify and resolve design and buildability issues without compromising quality or end user expectations by applying innovative solutions and value management principles. I have a clear understanding in the area of environmental sustainability and how to effectively mitigate the environmental impacts of the developments. This can be best demonstrated through two projects: Lancaster University Environment Centre, UK, which was awarded an Excellent BREEAM rating and the Synergy Commercial Offices in Kelvin Grove which achieved a GBCA 4 star design rating and 5 star As Built rating.
