•Responsible for the operational viability of the airports infrastructure.•Control Engineer for Airports HV-LV Systems, Appointed by UK Power Network Services to operate the system to their Distribution Safety Rules.•Manage the Gatwick Airport Engineering Services Control Centre, which includes day to day monitoring and management of all infrastructure utilities, i.e. HV/LV, Gas, Potable Water, Surface – Foul Water Drainage etc.•Responsible for directing the airport engineering team response to all emergency situations.•Hold appointment at Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for all Safety Management Systems, including HV/LV, Aviation Ground Lighting, Confined Spaces, Crane Operations, Hot Works, High Temperature Hot Water, Life Safety Systems, Permit To Dig.•Personally responsible for writing and maintaining the Engineering Control Departments Contingency Plans and Risk Assessments.•Act as the Senior on site engineering manager to liaise with all Control Authorities and Airport Agencies.

•Managing the day to day operation of the Airport Terminals, including all customer focused staff groups i.e. Security, Terminal Duty Officers, Information Agents, Trolley Recovery, Porters.•Act as Senior Airport Terminal Operations Manager to liaise with all Control Authorities and Airport Agencies.•Manage the operational relationship between all airport agencies, such as Airlines and Handling Agents.

•Managing and motivating a team of Multi Skilled technicians carrying out planned maintenance and fault response works on all Terminal infrastructure, including Lifts Escalators, Baggage Systems, Heating & Ventilation, Lighting etc.•Responsible for managing engineering response and coordination in all emergency situations.

•Planning, co-ordinating budgeting and seeking approval for a wide range of engineering maintenance projects, such as baggage system replacement.•Management of minor new works projects and budget management of term contracts.

•Supervisory Line Management of a team of Multi Skilled technicians, carrying out planned maintenance and fault response works on all Terminal infrastructure, including Lifts Escalators, Baggage Systems, Heating & Ventilation, Lighting etc.

As part of a Multi Skilled Technician team carried out maintenance and fault finding on all airport terminal infrastructure, including Lifts Escalators, Baggage Systems, Heating & Ventilation, and Lighting etc.

•During this period, I underwent intensive and varied training, encompassing experience in all of the airports wide ranging engineering activities.
