In 1993, founded a Marketing Consultancy called Copolov and Associates which became Gold Medal Marketing Pty Ltd. Gary is the Managing Director of Gold Medal Marketing which provides a full range of marketing and management consultancy services developing and implementing Strategic Business Development Plans.Gold Medal Marketing provides one-on-one consultancy and delivers group workshop programs for industries ranging from services, manufacturing, retail, import and and export. His experience has literally ranged, as described in a famous 80's advertising jingle from "footwear to meat pies, kangaroo belts and Holden parts."Gary has written a number of Business Development manuals including “Gold Medal Marketing”, "Excelerator” and “Retail Right”. Encouraging the growth of local businesses, Gary has partnered with local municipal councils to provide a multi disciplined mentoring and business success recognition event called "Business Idol". Gary has sat on a number of management teams where he assists to develop and drive the implementation of business and marketing strategies.

Reporting directly to the Board the group was taken from a co-operative society of 16 stores to a high profile state based franchise of 32 stores including the first company store. Whilst at autObarn, Gary was responsible for winning a number of Australian Aftermarket Automotive Association Awards for Excellence in Marketing.
