As needed over the years, my duties have also included writing/editing speeches and scripts, press releases, miscellaneous communications tied to ACRP's annual meetings and volunteer leadership/advocacy activities, resources for our professional development and certification programs, and select sections of our website.

Full-time writing/editing duties in 2005 for the ASLA’s Landscape Architecture Magazine. Wrote feature stories on landscape sites and issues; assisted with copyediting of all magazine materials; and coordinated specialized coverage of other landscape news, including professional awards and retrospectives.In 2006 and later, I served as a freelance editor for several ASLA projects promoting the society's Professional Awards program, Annual Meeting and EXPO, and Council of Fellows inductees.

Worked in Public Information/Science & Research Communications highlighting faculty and student research and service projects and assisting with special events (1989–1996), Advancement Communications & Special Projects focusing on the $1 billion Grand Destiny Campaign and outreach to stakeholders in the university statewide (1996–1999), Materials Science & Engineering producing publications and coordinating alumni events (1999–2001), and Public Information/News Bureau managing a daily e-mail news service and writing feature stories (2001–2004).As a freelance editor, I also assisted various faculty members with publication and publicity projects in the Smeal College of Business Administration, the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, and the College of Information Sciences and Technology.
