Jun 11 – Present Operations Support Manager • Providing critical support to all Directors and senior management vis a vis any projects undertaken within the Group’s operation divisions • Designing and implementing a robust business plan to facilitate a Group wide process for mobilization of new operations in order to radically reduce operational expenditure and ensure planning tools available to meet key milestones.• Provision of detailed advice on the best means to integrate 5 multiple operations into one singe operational unit. • Assisting various management teams in the planning of operations and supply chains around a myriad of logistical and administrative issues. • Rigorously reviewing the requirements of all RFPs (Request for Proposals) as a foundation for deciding how the operational element of the contract can be provided. • Engaging in an exhaustive review of all operations in order to arrest any slide in profit making and effect a quick and efficient turnaround in fortunes.

• Directing all activities associated with 4 operations in Africa for the United Nations as well as 2 operations in Afghanistan for NATO • Travelling to the aforementioned sites on a regular basis in order to provide vital support to each General Manager vis a vis contractual, governmental and financial issues

• Governing the timely and efficient supply of food to all British troops throughout Afghanistan

• Acting as the Operations Manager for the provision of all food rations for all US Troops in Afghanistan.• Managing the unloading, booking in and maintenance of various inbound shipping containers full of frozen, chilled and ambient temperature food products • Packing, loading and delivering food orders to 94 customers on a weekly basis via road or air assets.

• Supervising 2 departments consisting of 6 managers and 40 night and early shift staff in the timely and accurate delivery of orders into the warehouse • Assisting in the setup of the new store in Cardiff i.e. its warehouse functions, whilst ensuring that the store is replenished on a daily basis and ready for business

• Overseeing 2 managers and 40 staff in the timely and accurate receipt of store deliveries, utilizing software such as MHS & SGF to expedite the process• Performing a multitude of management functions, such as generating reports, organising staff schedules and liaising with external transports • Managing a myriad of HR functions, including monitoring absences and sick days, engaging in staff training and drafting performance reports

• Involved in the build and start up of a new warehouse in South Wales including input on operational layout, staff recruitment and training and writing of operational processes.• Establishing a night shift operation to ensure the replenishment of stock for the next day’s pick, whilst grooming a Junior Manager for the Night Shift role • Transforming the Dispatch department from running an operation £40,000 over budget to finishing the year £20,000 under • Achieving increased efficiencies and reduced costs based on the smooth delivery of all goods to 254 stores on a consistent basis

• Involved in the start up of new National Distribution Centre in Milton Keynes.• Overall responsibility of entire night shift operations.

• Involved in the start up of new National Distribution Centre in Magor, South Wales.• One of 3 Shift Managers responsible for all operations.• Key operational lead for the trial and implementation of RF Loading Module.
