* Software Engineer responsible for the design and implementation of the Global Content Catalog (GCC). The GCC is a customer and vendor facing web application that allows customers to view information about data sources from LexisNexis. The GCC also provides data vendors with the ability to send legal and news content to LexisNexis via web-based-forms and by FTP in XML format. The design of the GCC is based on a Model View Controller (MVC) pattern and is realized with the Struts framework. The GCC implementation utilizes J2EE with JSP and Servlet technologies on a Tomcat web server installed on UNIX OS.* Technical Lead responsible for data mining for the Company Dossier Product. Lead a team of five to ten software engineers through the software development process. Worked through requirements with business leaders to determine data to be mined. Developed and used Perl scripts with regular expressions to extract, cleanse, verify, and load the data into SQL Server database for display online at lexisnexis.com.* Teacher and mentor to US and offshore engineers for the Company Dossier Product.
