I have worked a variety of positions in the purchasing / project planning / inventory analysis positions in both manufacturing and retailer the past 24 years. I have ample experience buying raw materials and finished product both domestically and overseas.I am well versed in adjusting to various issues that affect the buying process including shipping / West coast labor issues, long-term shutdowns overseas due to holidays or severe weather, factory closures, etc. When I was in the manufacturing industry, my employer appointed me as the lead person in the company adoption of Lean Management / Continuous Improvement. I was assigned to recruit teams every few months to brainstorm ideas on how to improve quality, reduce waste, advance factory safety, and overall efficiency. We would then develop strategies to meet these goals and implement them accordingly. All areas saw marked improvement and the firm paid for more courses to further the program under my direction.I have worked with a different program at every firm I have worked for and adapt very quickly to new software. This includes SAP, ADX, and Apprise ----of course along with the basic Microsoft programs utilized at every company.My greatest strength is my versatility and ability to multi task in very busy environments. The day is not over until the project at hand is complete and the end customer is satisfied and pleased.
