Participated in GE Aviation and Edison Works 3-5 strategic planning. Supported various internal and customer needs as requested by the CEO of GE Aviation.

Functional leader for GE Aviation’s engineering division. 7000 plus global engineers designing aircraft propulsion systems for Business&General Aviation, Commercial Aircraft and Military Fixed and Rotary Wing Aircraft. Managed an annual budget of $2B focused on Advancing Technologies, New Product Design, Product Safety and Reliability, Fleet Airworthiness and Customer satisfaction.

Added Services Engineering leadership to my responsibilities of Chief Engineer. Services Engineering provided the Systems, Life Cycle Design and Fleet Technical Programs for all certificates aircraft engines models, all military combat and rotary wing applications and the Aeroderivatives operational products.

Leadership for GE Aviation Controlled Title domain experts and design processes in addition to Product Safety and Airworthiness Organizations. Led the creation of GE Aviation’s ODA and SMS accreditation from the FAA.

GM of the global engineering division of GE Renewables. Focus was on shore wind turbine advancing technology, product launches and engineering support of the fleet. Solar and Off Shore wind engineering support was also within the team of ~1000 global (USA, Spain, Germany, India and China) engineers. Fast pace product advancements with extreme cost sensitivity. Quality and Reliability was a focus to maximize customer energy production.

Provided engineering leadership to ~800 global engineers responsible for the lice cycle design of component and assembles within GE’s heavy duty gas turbines and wind turbine products and new product designs. Supported safety, fleet reliability, production, cost and adv tech for the Power P&L working in collaboration with the Systems Engineering and Chief Engineers organizations.

Responsible for technology, risk and cost management for GE Oil & Gas global engineering organizations. Highly mixed model businesses with large project management scope of high tech, highly customized product offering in down, mid and up stream operations in addition to services and pipeline inspection P&Ls.

Led the completion of GE’s advanced steam cooled gas turbine products (H products). Finalizing designs, initial production, and validation testing of the steam cooled gas turbine system.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering for GE Energy, I prioritized based on cost, risk and value creation the functional budgets (~300M) and head count allocations of the engineering teams supporting Gas and Steam Turbine and Generator design.

Held several roles from (Staff Engineer to GM) advancing responsibility within GE Power’s gas turbine new product design organization.

Responsible for the design of the CF6 and Marine & Industrial family of “cold” engine structures. Provide technical leadership to 8 assigned engineers focused on cost, weight and durability improvements of the structures. Completed the design and certification of structure on the CF6-80E1 and LM6000 products.

Design engineer within the military applications structures design group. Responsible for design and production introduction of the F101, F110-100 and -400 front frames and forward engine mounts. Tasks include structural design, life analysis and production support for these super alloy cast and fabricated structures.

Design engineer within the Gas Turbine product design organization.
