Worked on the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project (AMWTP) located at the INEEL for the US Department of Energy (DOE). Responsible for the detailed design and commissioning of Nuclear HVAC systems, including building containment ventilation systems and glovebox exhaust systems. All the nuclear exhaust ventilation systems utilized the first radial HEPA filtration system to be installed in the USA. The facility went into full operation in August 2004.

4 Year Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship – BNFL, Springfield Works Nuclear Fuel Production Facility (Now Toshiba owned and Operated)Year 1 – Spent in the craft school understanding all aspects of mechanical equipment including operating lathes, milling and boring machines. Also an introduction to various welding techniques and pipe brazing.Year 2 – Spent in craft school with introduction to all aspects of mechanical maintenance of industrial equipment such as pumps for liquids and chemicals, valves and actuators, pipeline installation and pneumatics, hydraulics and refrigeration systems.Years 3 & 4 – Spent out in the different maintenance facilities, such as the central steam plant, chemical batch plants, lifts, cranes and hoists department, fuel production facilities, as well as time in the design office.
