Phillips 66 Humber Refinery – Tetney Monobuoy (Present employment).I am involved in offshore tanker operations at the Tetney Monobuoy (3 nautical miles off the Lincolnshire coast).On duty, I am a terminal representative actively involved in the berthing / sailing of the tanker. Once the tanker is safely moored to the monobuoy I am responsible for controlling the cargo transfer and ensuring all aspects of the operation are carried out following OCIMF standards and terminal regulations, with due regard to safety and the environment. My other duties include Port Facility Security Officer, demurrage, Procedural reviews and partaking in safety initiatives. I attained an honours degree in 2010 as well as completing an extensive, company berthing/mooring masters training manual which falls in line with OCIMF training recommendations.

Employed as berthing master at Immingham Docks. My primary role was to control and plan the berthing and sailing of vessels at the port of Immingham and associated jetties to maintain the efficient, safe, smooth operation of the port.I was also involved in dock pilot duties taking vessels from berth to berth within the dock.

Employed as 2nd Officer on passenger/freight ferries operating in the Irish Sea.My role was to plan and control the safe load and discharge of all types of ro-ro cargo maintaining the safe condition of the vessel.I was later employed as chief officer on the high speed catamaran service between Fishguard and Rosslare.
