Senior engineering geologist with thirty plus (30+) years’ experience in engineering geology for infrastructure, particularly large dams. Typical projects include all phases of site investigations, from reconnaissance and feasibility for water and hydropower projects, through to detail design and construction involvement for large dams, including a primary focus on engineering geology for dam safety purposes, and proving of suitable hard rock material sources, and including aspects of slope stability. Other projects include investigations for tunnelling projects and construction materials as well as other infrastructure developments (buildings, railways, roads and bridges, housing developments, mining infrastructure developments, power stations, wind farms and power lines, aerial ropeways, water reservoirs, pipelines, water treatment works) as well as specialised dolomite stability investigations.
