Managing a successful group of 3 children nurseries

From 2010, Welcome Finance ceased lending and transformed operations to focus on collections with the view to close in 2015. This required significant change both operationally and technically as well as systematic downsizing through restructure and redundancy. The role included the following challenges and responsibilities: ► Managed 9+ branches across the region which included responsibility for 40+ staff. ► Consistently ensured the team remained motivated, even during a company shut down, achieving maximum targets and remaining in the top set in the country. ► Maintained high morale amongst team members, incentivising and rewarding to ensure turnover minimized during company downsizing whilst managing redundancies sensitively in line with company expectations► Designed and implemented a performance management process that allowed for standards to be effectively communicated and maintained. ► Implemented various projects and regional pilots to increase collections, changing business practices across the Company and facilitating efficiency and productivity► Ensured all staff received training, either delivered personally or through the centre, to create a consistent level of compliance, understanding and customer service► Coached and developed staff, ensuring promotions and personal development was achievable for all.

► Managed a series of branches ranging from 5 in 2008 to 9 in 2015. This included staff of approximately 72.► Managed a team of 7 field managers and 50 Customer account managers all remotely based► Was top performing area in England.► Responsible for sales targets and cash targets for all various loan products. ► Maintained high standards of customer service taking pride in providing an exceptional experience, generating and maintaining positive relationships. This was gauged through monitoring the number of complaints and reduction thereof.► Responsible for the decision making and implementation of opening new branches ► Adopted an empowering management style through setting strict deadlines whilst giving the managers the freedom to manage and autonomously make decisions► Set up, managed and trouble-shooted new division of Welcome Finance that involved selling all loan and insurance products direct to customers via telephone sales and home loan closes.► Conducted high volume recruitment to allow business activities to commence within very challenging time constraints ► Budgeted and forecasted sales and collection results for the area; ensured utilisation of resource was cost effective to ensure the region was run within budgeting boundaries► Implemented Standard operating procedures throughout the region.► Used judgement to manage business risk with approval boundaries to make sure best value delivered.► Helped underperforming branches hit targets and started the creation of major branches.
