Information Security Leadership Academy 2018,Information Technology Leadership Academy XXI (2014),Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2009,Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence (EACOE), TOGAF 8 Certified Architect,ITIL Foundations Certified,SANS Institute.As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Certified Enterprise Architect, I have been responsible for major initiatives at both DMV and DHCS that align with the division and departments’ Strategic Plan. Oversight at DHCS includes immediate, short-term, mid-term, and long term project life-cycles. Project oversight includes program development or enhancement, technical development, technical design and integration with critical systems, policy formulation and business process re-engineering to improve deficiencies and reducing enterprise debt.Experience includes implementing federal, state, and industry mandated compliance requirements such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Standards such as an “Application Security and Secure Coding Standards” providing proper steps are taken during project management, coding, and security testing. This ensures security is built into the SDLC by providing control gates for project management to track adherence during the application life cycle.Core committee member that developed core principles of the State Enterprise Architecture Program in 2005. Co-author to the State Identity Credentialing and Access Management (SICAM) Roadmap and Implementation Guidelines that is within the State Information Management Manual (SIMM) Section 158A. SICAM provides the road-map for the development of internal IdAM solutions or federated identity authentication and authorization solutions across departments.
