Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain local operational procedures in accordance with regulations, customer requirements and the local environment. • Develop/co-ordinate the company integrated safety management system• Monitor compliance with Transport Canada requirements for an SMS• Internal facility inspections• Manage and achieve KPI’s as agreed with the Chief Operating Officer • Ensure the base level Immediate Response Plans (IRP), Emergency Response Plans (ERP), Emergency Demobilization Plan (EDP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and handbook policies are up to date and understood by all. • Develop annual quality goals • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure best in class regulatory compliance throughout the organization through audit, investigation, assessment and other tools. • Have responsibility for the general upkeep of the buildings and grounds of the assigned bases, maintain AOHS and OHS standards • Track CNQ in all business units/lines and drive systematic root cause analysis process• Annual Pilot, Engineer and base administration SMS training• Oversee and co-ordinate any upgrade to facilities and/or further developments of the assigned bases • Promote safety and health awareness through internal company communications and training programs • Initiate development of or changes to operational procedures and / or training programs, based on deviation reports, audits and operational requirements. • Processing and following-up of Air and Technical Safety and other relevant reports including reportable occurrences. • Develop, introduce and maintain a Safety Management System as defined by Transport Canada• Conduct internal operational audits to support the company’s Flight Ops Quality Assurance • Conduct internal HSE audits to the COR auditing standards

Operational and Technical Quality oversight to a helicopter operator with over 4000 employees and 268 aircraft in 33 countries on seven continents .
