This project was one of, if not the biggest challenges of my 20+ yr. career.The database structure and schema was flawed. Other consulting agencies would not even bid out the job due to the lack of normalization, extreme redundancy,.... The code was a sloppy mess of heavily nested macros (MS Access200X) that the coder could not explain?First, I had to get the database in order and try to salvage what data I could. It was a nightmare converting the data and trying to piece back data. So I designed, coded, tested and implemented an Enterprise Wide browser based application. There are four projects currently ongoing:1) The Electronic Document Vault.- All PortalsYou may scan or upload media to the EDV. Once in the EDV, documents can be accessed easily and securely. Media can be individually viewed or automatically compile all job documentation to a single pdf. for easily reviewing all aspects of job performance1) Office Portal - CRM,Contracts,Equipment,Job Management/Costing, Dispatch and a plethora of Data Analysis Grids to provide mgmt. with timely and accurate reports in a efficient manner(quickly). Provides data transfer with BusinessWorks accounting software (by Sage). A Web Service provides the Office Portal with any new BW payment info.2) Mechanic Portal - Jobs in grid are traffic lit to provide an easy way to implement business logic/rules visually.
