CurrentI was promoted to develop, oversee, direct, and lead a high-caliber team of 33 Cyber Security Specialists in the provision of state-of-the-art cyber security for this US federal agency employing 4,000 and providing power supply to 7 states across the Pacific Northwest. While strategically managing a $10MM operating budget, I use expertly-developed methodologies, tools, and techniques to identify and eliminate vulnerabilities, system misconfigurations, and program deficiencies in all cyber security programs and activities.• Develop and update strategic cyber security plans for the agency and advised agency and national leaders on cyber security policy affecting the Pacific Northwest, the federal government, and the electricity sub-sector.• Developed, launched, and continue to manage a formal and comprehensive Cyber Security Program that encompasses a cyber forensic and intelligence team, a 24X7 security operations center, a security assessment and verification team, key control auditing, cyber penetration testing, red team activity, threat intelligence analysis and incident response, training initiatives, outreach awareness and education initiatives for all users, and role-based cyber training activities.• Oversee and organize efforts of Information Assurance and Security Officers, Intelligence Analysts, and other team members.• Provide tactical guidance for automated control system risk assessment and development of incident management programs for various resources, networks, certification, and accreditation.• Embraced the offer to join BPA fulltime after successfully completing a 10-month contracted position with the agency; commenced career with the agency as an Information Security Officer and was promoted in 2008 to Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
