Over 30 years experience in the patent profession. I have gained both the CIPA and CITMA paralegal qualifications. Trained staff and helped develop streamlined systems and databases for many years, aiming to be as efficient and accurate as possible. Worked with legal ops project managers, finance and IT to deliver change and automation of IP processes. Mentored people through the CIPA exam and lectured on Community designs for CIPA. Very good procedural knowledge of GB, EP (Including Opposition and appeal), PCT, UK and Community designs. Also a good understanding of overseas patent formalities, including Hong Kong. On a personal level, I have a strong interest in bringing the best out of people and helping them achieve their full potential. ‘You don’t inspire people by showing them how amazing you are, you inspire by showing them how amazing they are’. I really enjoy change/transformation projects to modernise and deliver efficiencies and reduce error rates.
