I share technical and cultural knowledge with the wonderful authors of the feature film "Journey Home." My experience comes from storytelling and my experience in the fight to protect mother earth. I work with Mark O'Brien and Joelle Hervic to identify key issues relative to the Native American fight to protect the environment from human beings. We have a wonderful script, which I merely added to, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work on a project with such potential to have an impact on the well-being of the 7 generations to come after us.

Presided over General Council Assemblies, Advise Staff, Provide oversight of Nez Perce Tribe Executive Committee as stipulated in the Amended Nez Perce Tribe Constitution and Organization Chart.

Edit and provide unique cultural insight into an historical era novel by author Julia Sullivan. I advised Sullivan on the appropriate dialogue and customs of the Nez Perce Tribal characters contained in this successful novel which has now been published.

Implement agricultural plan to assume beneficial management of tribal tracts with the potential to earn higher profits with more accountability. Create/authenticate mapping information. Coordinate the transfer of management of 14 agricultural pivots to REDCO. Coordinate the implementation of restoration of an additional 15 agricultural pivots. Authenticate environmental/improvement conditions of the land. Supervise the manual labor for specific projects including the creation of a community garden for REDCO.

Coordinate media for the Shield the People Project. Established by the Rosebud Sioux Tribal council, the Shield the People project is set up to express the will and intent of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe to oppose the construction of the Keystone XL Project. Shield the People has conducted multiple seminars, spiritual meetings, occupy a Spirit Encampment of Tipis from March 29, 2014 to over a year later, and other national coordination efforts which has so far culminated in a week-long tipi encampment on the National Mall in Washington D.C. from April 20-27, 2014. Collaborated with Bold Nebraska, and several other national-level environmental defense organizations to provide the narrative of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, among several other tribes, that the (proposed) Keystone XL Pipeline was too severe of a threat to the marginalized tribal communities, and their drinking water.

I developed a major agricultural Land Use Development Plan. I like the development aspect in that I will be advocating for major leasing policy changes, and a step toward Tribal autonomy over the farming and the water resources. There are no shortages of obstacles that are thrown at Tribal Landowners in the agricultural area. I used grant funding to develop this agricultural plan so we can look at yesterday and do the agricultural management better today and tomorrow. I have been looking at state statistics for leases, revenues and crop prices to formulate a fair leasing policy and initiate the changeover to gross revenue crop share leases. We hope to make a new avenue for tribal economic development as a tribal farming and cattle ranching enterprise over 193,000 acres of the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation.

Director of all departments that regulate hunting and fishing on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation. Manage the administrative staff, the staff biologist, the Tribal Buffalo herd Coordinator, and the Tribal Wildlife Enforcement department.

I served in an elected position of Secretary/Treasurer of the Nez Perce Tribe Fish and Wildlife Commission. We work to set goals for Tribal harvests for fish and wild game in accordance with and in support of continued Treaty Rights reserved by the Tribe. As a commissioner I coordinate with fish and wildlife staff members to interpret biological reports and provide policy recommendations regarding the ethical exercise of tribal hunting rights. In addition this commission coordinates training and education sessions to enlighten local governments and communities about how our members will exercise our treaty-reserved rights for hunting and fishing in our usual and accustomed areas. I also coordinated the Tribal Yellowstone Bison Hunt in the Gardiner and West Yellowstone treaty areas.

Negotiate the Federal Government Process for converting Fee land into Trust Status. I work with Titles to create a Land Description that will pass review by the Bureau of Land Management; I identify and clear any encumbrances on the land which were identified or not. I prepare the notices for both local governments and the public when land is proposed to be taken into trust; I coordinate the cadastral surveys, the phase I evaluations/reviews, and any other issues which will come up when converting land. I have worked to clear a 12-year-backlog in under a year. I also advised Tribal Council actions during recent participation in a land auction for over 1,000 acres. In addition I also contract for individual land owners on leasing negotiations, Rights of way, and appeals.

Manage aquatic program, pool, therapy pool, lifeguard staff. Build program up to a marked increase in use, increase in application, and reinforce professional standards. Teach swimming classes, lifeguard classes, pool therapy, fitness, and expand possibilities for community water education. Monitor water quality and chemical levels.

Directed all Tribal Realy Business actions on 345,000 acres of the Coeur d'Alene Indian Reservation. This included the leasing, lease compliance, appraisal requests, smoke management, acquisitions and disposals, probates, policy generation, and coordinating the fee-to-trust conversion of tribal land. I advocated at the regional (Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians, and Portland Regional BIA conferences), and national level (National Congress of American Indians, and Tribal Pesticide Program Committee at the Environmental Protection Agency), as well as directly with the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs through written testimony and advocating with Federal and Elected Officials. I also advocated for recognition of wild tribal foods and medicines in the wording of the pesticide warning labels for gopher poison used by the forest service. I oversaw a drastic turnaround on a -$400,000 deficit, operating in the green in two years. Instrumental in developing and implementing the change from cash rent to gross revenue crop share leasing on the Coeur d'Alene and Nez Perce Indian Reservations resulting in immeasurable increases in returns to the Tribes and individual tribal landowners. Participated in the retrieval of vital original land title documents from the Portland Regional Office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Submitted written testimony identifying key points to protect tribal landowner interests as 25 CFR part 162 was revised.

Taught Adult Basic Education courses, tutored clients toward successful completion of GED requirements. Initiated Pilot Cybertutoring Project between WSU and Coeur d'Alene Tribe. Advocated for placement of alternative students in local high schools. Became involved with educating a tribal community about Visual-Spatial strengths.

Managed all administrative/daily operations for four early childhood education centers. Assisted Center manager with budgeting. Performed accounting (A/P, A/R) and accountability for petty cash accounts. Resolved with employee disputes, recommended employee actions based on performance. Provided policy interpretation and recommended actions for staff of 50 employees. Prepared documentation for local, state, and federal compliance audits. Prepared successful grant request for technology upgrades. Served on a faculty/safety committee. Served on a Technology task force. Created Code Red Training for school lockdown/evacuations. Coordinated a monthly family participation night/dinner. Provided monthly training meeting for all employees, and a management meeting to provide guidance to enrollment issues, transportation coordination, staffing hours.

Performed duty as a Hot Shot Crew Member for the Tatanka Hot Shots based in Custer South Dakota. Worked on Initial attack, project fires, and prescribed burns. Environmental enhancements and defensible space projects. Operated hand tools, chain saw, propane drip torch.

Performed duty as a law enforcement officer in the United States and overseas. Performed duty as a divisional Military Police Squad leader, providing area security, route reconnaissance, ambulance exchange point security, prisoner of war escorts, and personnel security for high ranking Federal Officials. After I returned from Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm I was selected to train Military Police platoons returning to Operation Iraqi Freedom and served an additional three tours in Kuwait and Iraq. Trainer in the Art of Land Warfare, Military Mountaineering and Rappelling, Survival Evasion, Resistance and Escape techniques, Chemical Warfare Defense operations, Military Interrogation, and a German Linguist. Additionally, I was selected for the Training Sergeant, providing quarterly readiness briefings, training highlights, recommendations for renewed training emphasis, and training budget modifications. Selected to serve on the Seoul, Korea Human Rights Council.
