Mr. Douglas’s professional experience is comprised of over 39 years in a variety of lead design engineering & management positions at the Boeing Company. His current responsibilities include Technology Thrust Lead (TTL) & program manager for Special Technology Integration (STI) programs in Phantom Works’ technology thrust area; role as functional manager of Infra-red & Electro-optics (IREO) group and as program manager/principle investigator for proprietary contracted & research efforts that focus on survivability technologies. In addition, Mr. Douglas performs as lead engineering design role in the development and integration of proprietary technology into various advanced platforms. He has participated extensively in conceptual, preliminary and final design phases of production rotorcraft programs including FAA certification. Additionally, Mr. Douglas has performed as lead design engineer in pre-production & advanced prototyping activities. Additionally, Mr. Douglas is co-architect and managing director of a large-scale Immersive Simulation ("IMMSIM") capability for Phantom Works that provides "real-world" immersive engagements for survivability studies.
